John C. Crighton, MD

Dr. John Crighton brings experience and leadership to Springfield’s medical field. He has developed a reputation as a caring, exceptional physician through his work as a breast, colon and general surgeon for almost 40 years.

Dr. Crighton received his medical degree at the University of Missouri Medical School and completed his residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He specializes in general surgery with a focus in breast surgical oncology, colon, gallbladder and hernia surgeries.

Dr. Crighton’s experience and well-established career in the Springfield area has changed the lives of countless patients. He continues to set the bar high by offering the latest treatments and technology for his patients. He has also served as Trauma Director at CoxHealth Systems hospital.
